All Together Beautiful

"You are all together beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you." Song of Solomon 4:7
It might be weird to come from me because I own a boutique, and my success as a business owner hinges on people like you perusing the racks of clothes (virtually or in-person), and finding something to make you feel beautiful, BUT, this message is incredibly important. You are all together beautiful. Already - just as you are. In whatever you are wearing. Wherever you find yourself as you read this. Beautiful.
That is what the Lord calls you. He made you, fearfully & wonderfully, in His image.
The world will try to tell you that you need to change something about yourself - your size, your face, your clothes, your status, etc. in order to be beautiful. And the goal seems to always be changing, doesn't it? But there is a steady, constant, never changing God, who delights in you.
There is a peace, that surpasses earthly understanding, that rests on you when you believe, deep down in the depths of your heart, that the Creator fashioned you together in a good way. That, while sometimes our outward appearance doesn't 'match' what society deems as good, there is a God who makes no mistakes. And He says that we are created in His image. Created for good works, in Christ Jesus. Made for a purpose.
And so yes, I am supposed to sell you on the newest trend, but if you never step foot in this store, or make a purchase online, I pray that you would remember this - you are the delight of the Lord. You are beautiful in His sight. He looks, not on the outside, like the world does, but at the heart.
He knows you. And oh, how He loves you.
I hope and pray that you accept the glorious invitation He extends to us all - to walk with Him all the days of our lives. To know true rest, in the Father's love. To be still at His feet, and trust what He says to be true.
Everything about us is intentional, purposeful, and able to be used for His glory. Even the bits we don't love. Even our ugly pieces testify to His goodness.
So, wherever you are, you can rest. You can stop striving. You can be confident that you are all together beautiful, and there is no flaw in you. Because His Word says so, and He is not a man that He would lie.
